Through our comprehensive courses and workshops, we are dedicated to promoting responsible and positive pet ownership practices. We strive to empower pet owners with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the well-being and happiness of their beloved companions, while also advocating for humane treatment of all animals. By providing accessible education and resources, we aim to create a community of compassionate and knowledgeable pet lovers /caregivers who prioritize the welfare of their furry friends.

About Founder Marta De Fex

​Marta is a life-long animal lover, lecturer and an educator. Marta is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in comprehensive business management, event planning and healthcare. For many years, she has served the Houston community by working in the healthcare industry as a Nutritionist – where she had the opportunity to lead several workshops and classes on improving the quality of life through nutrition and a healthier lifestyle. Inspired by her love for dogs, Marta established PAWSITIVE RELATIONS in 2012 – an organization whose mission is to enhance and support the well-being and the relationships with our beloved animal companions.

  • Pet CPR Instructor: Committed to teach the skills & techniques of Pet CPR, First Aid, Safety and Care to “Improve the quality of pets’ lives one pet parent at a time”®.
  • Certified TTouch® practitioner for small animals. TTouch® Method is being used in over 30 countries by animal owners, trainers, veterinarians, breeders, animal shelters, and zoo personnel.
  • Certified as Canine Therapeutic Massage Therapist by the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure (*RMSAAM) in Colorado.  
  • Volunteer at different non-profits in the Houston area since 2012. Including developing and teaching Humane Education Classes, Bite Prevention and Dog Safety with Children. 
  • Pet Education aimed to nonprofits, shelters, churches, and private individuals – including various topics as “Teaching your child pet safety & good manners with dogs”, “Positive reinforcement training”, “Interpreting Calming signals”, “Caring for your Senior Pet & understanding end-of life process”.

Marta believes that a Pawsitive Relation intent is to bring understanding, trust and respect between Pet Parents and their animal companions. She is a firm advocate in education as a key component to address the overpopulation of homeless animals and all the many problems that originate from it. Marta resides in Houston, with her husband and two German shepherd mix dogs. In her free time, Marta enjoys going to the gym, Italian culture, gardening and spending time outdoors with nature. She is fully bilingual in English, and Spanish and intermediate Italian language. Marta has always been deeply inspired by St Francis of Assisi, his love, compassion and respect for Creation, seeing all animals as his brothers and sisters in God.

* RMSAAM is approved and regulated by the Colorado Department of Higher Education, Division of Private Occupational Schools. RMSAAM is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.
